Terra served as the prime consultant to develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for a new public roadway, Santavy Street, which intersects with Garth Road south of San Jacinto Mall, in Baytown, Texas.

Santavy Street spans across approximately 1,500 feet. Terra’s engineers designed new concrete pavement for this stretch of road as well as water and sanitary lines, and a new traffic signal at Santavy Street and Garth Road.

The traffic signal design included the use of the adaptive signal control system referred to as SynchroGreen as well as the new wireless detection PODS. This plan set included signage and pavement marking layouts, Traffic Control Plans (TCPs), erosion control, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and roadway designs for the proposed Santavy Street. The TCP / temporary barrier layouts were required for the engineering design of median improvements and driveway installations. Terra Associates bid the Water, Sewer, and Drainage improvements for this project.
